What video formats can I extract audio from?
MP4, WebM, AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, M4V and 3GP. Any of them works as long as the video has an audio track.
What audio formats can I save the extracted audio as?
Six: MP3 (plays everywhere), WAV (uncompressed), FLAC (lossless), AAC (small files), OGG (open format) and M4A (Apple).
Will the audio quality be preserved during extraction?
Yes, if you pick WAV or FLAC. MP3, AAC, OGG and M4A are compressed at the bitrate you choose, up to 320 kbps.
Can I extract audio from multiple videos at once?
Yes. Add several videos and they're all extracted in one go, with the same format and settings.
Is there a file size limit for video files?
No fixed limit. Files up to about 2 GB work, and you get a warning if a file may be too big for your device's memory.
How long does audio extraction take?
Anywhere from 30 seconds to about 10 minutes, depending on the file size and format. WAV is quickest; compressed formats take a little longer.
Are my video files uploaded to your servers?
No. Extraction runs in your browser with WebAssembly, and your videos never leave your device.
Which audio format should I choose?
MP3 plays anywhere. WAV or FLAC keep full quality, AAC gives small files, M4A suits Apple devices and OGG is an open format.
