What is a UBL invoice?
UBL (Universal Business Language) is the international standard for electronic invoices. This tool writes UBL 2.1 XML to the European EN 16931 rules, plus an SI-UBL version with the Dutch NLCIUS profile. Units, discounts and bank details go into the right XML elements, so the receiving system can process it.
Does the preview really match the file I download?
Yes. The page, the PDF, the spreadsheet and the XML all come from the same figures. Printing uses the exact page you see, at true A4.
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. No account, no subscription, and no limit on how many invoices you make.
How is my data kept private?
Your business details, clients, logo and saved invoices are stored in your own browser (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded.
Can I put my logo and colours on it?
Yes. Add a logo and pick an accent colour for the title, lines and total. The logo is saved with your business profile and embedded in the PDFs you download.
How are discounts handled for VAT?
A line discount lowers that line's taxable amount. A whole-invoice discount is spread across the VAT rates in proportion, so each rate's taxable amount still matches the total. That is what e-invoicing validators check.
Can I create invoices for different countries?
Yes. You get twelve currencies and any VAT rate per line, including zero. Each party has its own country, taken from the field or from the VAT number's prefix.
What export formats are supported?
PDF, Excel (XLSX), CSV, JSON, and UBL 2.1 or SI-UBL XML for e-invoicing. You can also print straight to A4.
Can I save my business details for future invoices?
Yes. Save your details, logo and colour once as your business profile, and every new invoice starts with them. Saved invoices stay in History.
