PDF Editor

Annotate, draw, highlight, add text and images to a PDF — then flatten to a new file. Rich editor, 100% in your browser.

PDF Editor is a rich, browser-based markup tool for PDFs. Open a document and work through it page by page in a zoomable viewer, adding text anywhere, drawing freehand, highlighting passages, and placing images, stamps, or signatures. Everything you add can be moved, deleted, or undone. When you save, your annotations are flattened onto the pages as vector text, shapes, and images — the original content, including selectable text, is preserved underneath, not turned into a screenshot. The whole editor runs client-side with pdf.js and pdf-lib, so your file never leaves your device.

How It Works

1

Open your PDF

Drop your PDF and it opens in a zoomable, page-by-page editor.

2

Mark it up

Pick a tool — text, draw, highlight, or image — and add annotations right on the page. Move or delete anything you place.

3

Save the edited PDF

Your annotations are flattened onto the pages and you download a new PDF. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does editing keep the original text selectable?

Yes. Your annotations are drawn as vector text, shapes, and images on top of each page — the original content underneath, including selectable text, is preserved. It's not rasterized like a screenshot.

Can I edit the existing text in the PDF?

This editor adds annotations on top of the page rather than rewriting the original text stream, which is how most reliable browser PDF editors work. To change existing wording, cover it with a filled shape and add new text, or use the source document.

Can I add my signature or a logo?

Yes. Use the image tool to place a signature image, stamp, or logo, and drag it into position. You can also draw a signature directly with the pen tool.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The entire editor runs in your browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib, so your document never leaves your device.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes. Undo removes your last annotation, you can select and delete any item, and 'Clear page' removes everything on the current page.
